Leukemia fusion gene (fusion gene) is a molecular marker of leukemia. In recent years, with the development of molecular biology technology, the understanding of the molecular genetics of leukemia cells has been deepened. It has been found there are chromosome aberrations in most leukemias, including deletion, repetition, inversion and translocation, resulting in proto oncogenes and tumor suppressor gene variation, oncogene activation or inactivation of tumor suppressor genes, which result in new fusion genes.
Because gene and phenotype changes in the development of leukemia are very important for the diagnosis and treatment of leukemia, MICM classification is presented. The detection of leukemia fusion gene by fluorescent quantitative PCR is helpful to evaluate the acute degree, clonality and classification of leukemia.
